Founded in 1977 by Malcolm Bonawits, Malcolm's Haircutters has risen to the top of the salon industry. After serving four years in the United States Air Force, Malcolm enrolled in the Stroudsburg School of Cosmetology under the GI Bill. Upon graduation, he opened his first salon in Mt. Pocono, and worked behind the chair for twelve years. He went on to become one of the most successful stylists in the region. Today Malcolm is president and owner of Northeast Salons, Inc., a chain of nine salons located throughout Northeast Pennsylvania.

A main reason that Malcolmâ€™s Haircutters is so successful is that we are constantly educating our employees. At our Corporate Headquarters in Mt. Pocono we have a hands-on training facility where classes are conducted monthly for all of our stylists. We host internationally-recognized educators from companies like Redken, Wella, and L'Oreal. With this kind of ongoing concentration on new trends, products, and communication, our staff is knowledgeable about state-of-the-art techniques.
