The Celsius TanneryÂ® story began with one tanning salon in 1995 when four friends (two couples) combined their dreams to create a dynamic business. As we opened our first salon in Independence, MO, we agreed that we wanted to create a tanning salon experience that was totally different from what people had come to expect.

We knew that our equipment was top of the line, and we wanted our salon to be the same. All of us had discussed our own likes and dislikes regarding the experiences we had had as tanning salon customers. We knew that for Celsius TanneryÂ® to succeed, we would need to educate our clients about the importance of using the finest products to tan. We also knew that we would have to create ways of doing business that would set us apart from the many other places that have tanning.

Today, Celsius TanneryÂ® offers the premier tanning experience in over 20 Kansas and Missouri locations.Our goal is to make our customers feel welcome and pampered, while providing great results.

Our vision for an upscale tanning salon that was truly a first-class operation has become a reality over the past fifteen years. Our growth continues with the 2010 introduction of Celsius DermaSpa in select Celsius locations. We now not only offer first class tanning, we also offer our customers first class skin care treatments. We utilize Dermalogica's face mapping technique, which provides a deep look into your skin's health. These latest advances in skin analysis provide you with a treatment specifically designed to address your personal skin concerns. It is targeted skin care for exceptional results, and it's only available from our Dermalogica Skin Treatment Center.
