GJ’s Salon -N- Spa was established in 1980 with only 4 styling chairs. The addition of two tanning beds came in 1987, followed by nail services in 1995. By the year 2000 Tom and Gloria Duenkel decided the businesses growth warranted for more space and the business moved to its current downtown location (1604 Washington Street). Today the salon features a new exterior/interior including; eight styling stations, four nail stations, a private spa pedicure room with 4 roller back massage chairs, a double massage room, full body red light therapy, facial treatment/waxing room, permanent cosmetics room, eight tanning beds, a spray tan room, a fitness room, and a their newest addition is GJ’s Coffee Bar.

Some of GJ’s Salon -N- Spa specialty services include; gel nails, nonsurgical microdermabrasion treatments, M’lis Body Wraps, EBR Cellular Cleanse Therapy (Detox), Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup, Keratin Complex Hair Smoothing, Nufree Hair Removal, Specialty Massages (Aromasoul, Hot Stone, & Swedish), Aqua Massage Bed, Red Light Therapy, & Permanent Cosmetics by Heidi.

The salon offers hair products by Eufora, Eufora HERO for Men, Moroccanoil, and Schwarzkopf, skin care enhancement by Skin Born, Good Earth candles & lotions, and OPI nail polishes.
